Description



Graded Good 2 by PSA. At the conclusion of a 17-year career in which he starred on the diamond and advocated for player's rights, John (Monte) Ward is pictured one last time on the offered 1895 N300 Mayo's Cut Plug single. This "2nd Base" text version is the tougher of two variants representing the Class of 1964 Hall of Famer. Despite obvious handling and a crease near the bottom left corner, the mustachioed legend still presents remarkably well. The midnight black reverse is clean.
