Following nine seasons of contention (including three straight pennants and two World Series titles), Connie Mack began to dismantle his dynasty in 1934, trading Hall of Famers Lefty Grove and Mickey Cochrane for three unproductive players (two of whom did not last more than a year in Philly). Staying with the sinking ship, two-time defending MVP Jimmie Foxx remained true to form, launching 44 home runs to bring his three-year total to 150. Encapsulated and Graded NM 7 by PSA. This ticket stub was issued at Shibe Park for the August 15 twinbill against the Chicago White Sox. In the opener, Foxx delivered career home run No. 259. The lone specimen at its tier with none graded higher, the near-pristine voucher features printed seating and event details, as well as a (game number) “53” identifier and the facsimile signature of club owner Tom Shibe.
