Mantle-ites score a fantastic prize with this 1950s photo of your favorite baseball hero. Taken by famed photographer William Jacobellis, this original Type I black-bordered 4x5 photo of Mickey Mantle gets a designation of (VG-EX) due to moderate corner wear, however it presents much better. This unusual shot sees Mickey in a pose seated on a folding chair and holding a bat. Should you encounter the very obscure 1955 All American Sports Club Mickey Mantle baseball card, you will note that the image used for that card is the exact one seen here. The reverse side of this period treasure from early in Mantle's career has a William N. Jacobellis credit stamp, a Phil Burchman stamp and the written notations "MM-51, Mantle, 1954 St. Pete".
